Indicast : Episode #3
Episode # 3 has been let loose on the net and is now available for download through all our podcasting channels. We tackle the IIPM issue in this episode with emphasis on freedom of speech/press and also about defamation. We did some research online and came across some interesting view point which we have presented. Then on a totally tangent topic, we spoke about the new James Bond.
Hope you enjoy the episode and the beggin for comments continue.
Episode notes :
- IIPM sues a couple of bloggers. Did they really believe that they would get 125 crores from an individual? It was just scare tactics that back fired. There is a thin line between defamtion and freedom of speech
- New James Bond unveiled - its going to be Daniel Craig, Daniel who?? Exactly our point. Mithun for Bond anyone? Best of Mithun’s action scenes. It doesn’t get any better than this.
- We forgot to mention our contact details last time so here it is, Indicast@theindicast.com>
- We would like to give a shout out to a friend of ours - Nani, who has been trying hard to join Indicast but is frustrated with the net connectivity in his area.

Mithun for Bond ?
Errr, do you actually want to see Silk Smitha and her ilk as the bond babes ?
Very interesting header, btw.

Hi Guys. I am writing this as I am listening to your 4th episode. I am Indian, but living in Moscow, Russia for most part of my life.
I heard first 2 prior to this, and laughed my ass out on episode 3. Can I ask you guys to talk more in Hindi, rather English, or at least mix 2 languages more … find it very plesing to my ears, and more humour …. that’ll be cool
So, great guys, and make sure you keep it alive.
I’ll add rhe link to your blog on my blog - linux.wordpress.com.

E@zyVG : about hindi, we being from mumbai, the best we could do is give you “mumbaiyya”
. My hindi will also come with a complimentary marathi accent. so what you get in the end might not be hindi at all. But your point is noted.. thanks for that
p.s : Please make your name more dificult to type… the keyboard acrobatics werent enough for me

May Silk Smitha’s soul rest in peace. The poor woman died close to a decade ago and we even observed a minute’s silence for her….
Mithun da as Bond? Hmmm…interesting choice, it would be. Will he catch a speeding bullet with his fingertips? If so, he is in…

aye Maa!! tera Suraj aa gayaa hai maa.
Ok Mhats, I ve written a screenplay for your Mithun ‘I am a disco dancer’ Bond.
Entry: The door opens, its taken from inside a godown in Filmalaya, Andheri. Its all dark and foggy. A white ray of light is incident on Mithunda from behind such that the shadow is long and viewers can easily make out from the silhouette that its Krishnan Iyer MA, Naariyal-Paani wala.
Bhappi Da’s background score is on (of course its the same good ol’ M16 007 Bond tune but Bhappi da says its original but inspired).
Presently, Mithun walks towards the audience …’tttok………..tttok……….ttok……..ttok……ttok…….ttok’ (I tell my neighbour “shhhh…pls dont talk) Gun slung over his shoulder.
The suspense has built up. Within saliva-spitting distance of the first row in Hanjar (thats a cinema hall in Jogeshwari here near my house), he stops.
The music also stops. The director allows a good 4-5 seconds pause. Audience is in full suspend. The suspense has peaked.
Mithun da says: The name’s Bond……James Bond.
Audience says: Tujhya aai chi gond.

LOL@ Nani’s climatic end.
But he needs a spell check, man.
Comment by Patrix — October 18, 2005 @ 5:46 am
hey patrix, may be i do need a spell check. but let me justify two spelling mistakes here (bcoz its just plain fun)
a. if u meant audience in full ’suspend’- thats how ppl speak in areas like jogeshwari, kurla, etc. (u can also hear adjectives like chhantaal? verbs like ‘nading’?
b. ‘gond’- c’mon that was for effect

I am at work and trying not to laugh too loud. The guy from my adjoining cube (also from mumbai) has come over says “Good one” !! This is exactly why we need nani on the Indicast
Comment by Aditya — October 18, 2005 @ 1:17 pm

hey guys,
just wanted to let you know that we are listening to you here in London after we had found your podcast via imusic by chance.
We do enjoy the good choice of topics and have come back now for more. We are not Indian but two continental Europeans and so we don’t get the bits in Hindi, but don’t worry about that. Keep on he good work!

Hello Guys,
Was listening to your 3rd episode via iTunes. The discussion on IIPM was interesting, since i am in NY and working, rarely get time to look at Indian news or interesting events happening in India.
Keep the good work.
