File sizes and quality

We have received a lot of email about reducing the file size because the net is really slow in India and it takes a freaking long time to download a 20 mb file. So for people on a dial up connection, we have the 48kbps file. But you will have to download it from website manually.

Our RSS feed on ITunes and other podcast service will serve 64kbps file which will obviously be heavier than the 48kbps. The “Listen Online” option will serve 64 kbps file as well and the 128Kbps file is for also available for those beleive in quality. But again, the 128Kbps is a manual download.

If you have any trouble downloading or listening any episode, please let us know by dropping a line in the comments section of that episode.

  2. BTW, my brother is in India right now, and he told me that he connects to internet with his mobile and notebook and pays only 500 Rupees, roaming included, with OK speed and unlimited traffic … awesome. India is far ahead when it comes to implementing simple everyday tech in price comparison.
