Episode #33 - The Great Indian Festival!!!
Indicast celebrates one year!!! Indicast style salaam to all our listeners who have stayed with us throughout! Keep those comments coming in. We love em’ all. Also, we have created a record of sorts in this podcast. It is one of those pacy episodes with a file size that won’t annoy you!
It is that time of the year when India gets a face lift… literally. The festival of lights and fire crackers lightens up the country. And with it comes sweets and the ‘faral’! “Diwali shopping” is a trend which all Indians look forward to and live up to it in style by saving some bucks for the D day. I went shopping too and learnt that shopping is a social science! Listen to know more!
While an Asian has been awarded with the Nobel Peace prize, we discuss the reasons why Gandhi missed the bus.
Don disappoints! But, sure is a treat for all SRK fans. Go watch it… at your own risk! This podcast is dedicated to the Indian film industry! Tell us what you think!
India Inc. is on a high internationally. We are on an expansion mode and we decided to cover the exploits of a few companies which have made us proud!
Episode Notes:
- Tata steel and Mittal steel rock!
- Grameen spawns an $800 Microfinance industry to wipe off poverty! Ambitious, but, getting there! ?
- Grameen bank founder, entrepreneur, social worker Mohd Yunus gets a nobel for Peace!
- Why is there no Nobel in Mathematics? Interesting stuff!!!
Yours Internetally,
Abhishek

Great Episode as always!
Minor comment: The audio quality on this one seems a bit sub-par,
it sounds like you guys are talking from way across a metal boxed room,
can you invest in some better audio equipment? maybe some headphones
or something, anyway, keep up the great work!

hey guys! i thought i left a comment here yesterday but maybe it didn’t go through! anyway, great episode… short and sweet! it was good to get a range of different topics; all equally interesting! I have my own qualms about watching Don, especially because I am so tired of SRK’s acting lately. And I guess I feel the pressure of holiday shopping here but in the form of Christmas! I’m sure you guys know how broke people get here after Christmas! Moving on though, I am moving to Mumbai in December, this time with more planning than before
I am thoroughly excited about it, and am looking forward to meeting with you guys as well! Hopefully this time you won’t play hookey, and we’ll be able to hopefully even record an episode together! Anyway, I will keep you guys updated in regards to my whereabouts, but see you a couple months! Take care!
p.s. If you do know of anyone in the proper Mumbai area who is looking for a PG (rent being between Rs. 3000-6000) please let me know! Also, if you know of any job openings anywhere in some office/clerical/secretarial/receptionist work, or even tuitions in French/English, etc., please do inform me! Sorry for the extra long message, but I would appreciate any help! Thanks guys!

I am back!!! kerala backwaters kick ass… its a must do thing for all indians..
HomerSimpson: We relaised that only after we had recorded the episode. You can expect better sound quality from the next episode.
Lavanya: Indicast started a year back so that means you have been listening to us for a year as well… so we have a pretty good “customer retention”!!!
pratiti: We can always spread the word… best of luck
